WTF LJ

WTF? I can't sign into LJ using Firefox. I have a couple of accounts and I can't log into any of them. It keeps coming up as the wrong password, even though the exact same thing in IE works fine.

I also find it stupid that only paid users can edit their comments nowLJ and facebook appear to be doing it. It is NOT my social-networking-site OTP. I ( Read more... )

Huh, mine's fine but I don't use Facebook.

I love lj less for making out like edit's a nifty new feature not a retraction of services. But when I use wordpress it plays up so much I'm always going "why can't it have [insert random lj feature]!!?".

Oh, I mean that people can edit comments now, but it only applies to paid users. It's annoying and stupid.

I always did my comment editing by deleting and rewriting, which is still possible right?

How incredibly annoying! I wonder if we can still delete comments? Because it would be ultra-sucky to realise too late that you couldn't.

The delete button is still there. I don't think the edit function changes the delete function.

Not cool. You would think that the functionality of editing would be best given to all users, not just those who pay.

The IE thing can be weird. I seem fine on Firefox at the moment. Do you have an older version? I think mine auto-updated about 5 days ago or so. That said there are a few sights out there that don't work well with one browser or another.

Also you can get this cool thing which lets you run IE through Firefox. I have not tried it yet, but I know people who have and they said it works well. As a matter of fact I may just install it now....

I'm running 2.0.0.8 (not the latest update). It was fine until yesterday.

I have 2.0.0.9 Seems weird that it would stop you. Can you still not get in with Firefox?

Hmmm. Maybe try clearing out cookies & cache in Firefox, then restart it and try again ?
(I believe LJ "remembers" you by saving a cookie)
