Heating Ideas?

What source of heat would be good for keeping a home warm for hours at a time while my mother goes to school , she has Wood heat now but with her Fibromaligia and bad neck she cant handle the work of it and is looking to upgrade, any ideas are welcome

If the home has electric, there's electric heat, but it can get kinda expensive. Is there a gas line to the house

i am not at the home, it Only has wood heat and mom would be gone for all day sometimes but would need something that could be set and forget type of heat

Ok so does the house have any other services run to it? does it have electric? Is gas available out at the street but maybe not to the house? How big is the house (traditional house, or is this more like a trailer/mobile home
