There are apparently over 13,000 in the USA, a country geographically not much bigger that Australia.... it's interesting that you can see a couple of the major highways lit up like christmas lights, or terrifying depending on your point of view

In all honesty, I think it's wrong. I think there's more than that but they couldn't fit that many lights in such small areas.

each light represents the distance from the neares macas... there may be several restraunts in a cluster that looks like just the one spot.
