Shouldn't relationships be about working towards something?

Even if you realize at the end of the road, that you aren't right for each other, isn't that what you should be thinking about anyways?

I think that every relationship does inevitably have some sort of "goal". Sometimes its something really simple like making it to a year, graduating out of college together, or it can be as complex as marriage . But I think that in the end there is always something (other than love or attraction) that both parties share which keeps them together :)
