oy...never a dull moment. I'm currently taking care of a 30 pound puke factory. Hayden has the flu, which means the other two will be next. I set him up a nice little sick spot on the chair...away from everyone else, with a puke bowl (my dog keeps drinking out of, bleh). Roomie! How much is your Lasik costing? I'd really love to get it done because insurance rapes me on exams/contacts (it covers an exam and contacts every two years when it's PA state law you need an exam every year). I just don't know how much to save and I don't think my insurance covers it :( Good luck with the puke factory :)

I'm getting it done at Lasik Plus. I'm not sure if there is one in your area. There is a credit option they offer, and I'm pretty sure it's not specific to Lasik Plus. It's called Care Credit. You can actually use it for any medical expenses and even vet bills, so I'm sure it's offered through other Lasik places as well. I applied online (www.carecredit.com) and was approved for $3,000. My surgery is going to cost about $3,400. They gave me all the information and payment options at the initial exam. I think right now Care Credit is offering 0% for 12 months. They say the average is $1,500 an eye, but I have astigmatism in my right eye so i think that's why it was a little more. Pretty steep, but hey I figure it's well worth not having the hassle of contacts. My one concern was that I heard you had to get touch-ups down the road. But with Lasik Plus they offer free touch-ups for life. I think there is a stipulation with the free lifetime touch ups that you get have to get a yearly eye exam. My insurance doesn't cover it at ( ... )
