Bringing life to the illusion

I've been drawing since I saw the birth of my baby boy. It seems that all I want to do is bring illusion to life, which is, of course, impossible. However, no one ever said that you couldn't bring life to illusion, right? Some of my art is getting pretty creepy, and I can only seem to make it more realistic as I try to tone it down.
