It worries me that China just had five (FIVE!) attacks on schools in the last month. People are running in and stabbing at children or hitting them with hammers, and dozens of kids are injured or killed in each attack.

American media is kind of bias in that it tends only to post bad news about China. I will try to post happier stuff when I go back to China over the summer. :D I'm supposed to visit Tibet (maybe) and the giant Shanghai Expo.

I totally get what you mean, really. But the problem in China is that you don't even have freedom of speech. Hypothetically, Americans are more responsible with guns because they've ALWAYS had that privelage. Could you imagine of China suddenly allowed people have guns? People would be much more willing to get violent if they had access with guns because suddenly it's a good way to let out a lot of anger. There's a lot of dissent in China because the suddenly growing wealth of the nation is held in only a few people and most of the country is still poor. Lately a lot of cases where poor people have revolted against government officials and even killed them because they were sick of being mistreated. If they had access to guns, I'd be scared. :/ I hate the government and all, but I don't know how the world's most populated country will handle a revolution like that.
