Strange thing happened last night. Mom calls Adam and I out to talk to her for a minute. She starts into this story of how this lady she knows from school told her that they had a dream the previous night that featured Mom becoming a grandmother. After telling us this, she gives us the evil eye and asks if there's any basis for this in reality.

Dear Santa,

All I want for Christmas is the ability to shoot directed, invisible electric currents through my fingers. That would be a great classroom management technique that I could use in my classroom.

Oh, and I want to be Mayor of North Bay, even though I'm living 5 time zones away from it, and even though an election is taking place on Monday.

Instead of cookies, I'll leave you a chicken kiev cutlet for you with some mashed potatoes on Christmas Eve.

I swear I'm having one of those Absent Minded Professor moments, and I have no idea what you're referring to...Ha ha ha!

I'm gonna assume you meant the Highway 11 bit. And, really, in all honesty, I don't think they're truly done yet (either that or they're a year ahead of schedule, and when have we ever seen anything government backed come out on time? :-P). So perhaps, there's gonna be another layer or two to hot asphalt to come, but, time's gonna tell, I suppose
