while there were some great comments too many were "wow! Gloria said what I've been trying to put into words!"
and yeah, I thought part of overcoming stereotypes was the ability to support who you felt was best for the job, and not the person who you thought was underprivileged and needed a leg up. If I were running for office I'd hope that people would decide whether or not to vote for me based on my abilities and not my gender.
and I don't feel like a traitor to my gender because I prefer Obama to Clinton. I think we need somebody charismatic in the White House after the damage Bush has done to our foreign relations and the trust of Americans in their government. (and from what I've seen the French prefer Obama to Clinton though they prefer a Democratic to a Republican more and they all want me to explain what a freakin' caucus is)
