At the end, when the camera flicked off while the top was still spinning, EVERYONE IN THE THEATER went "uf!" like someone had just punched them in the stomach. Now that's a powerful film.
My favorite "theater" moment was actually earlier-- just before they went from the Hotel level to the Snow level... when Fisher agreed with Cobb that the only way to resolve the issue was to enter the dream himself. I actually blurted out "Holy crap! That WORKED?!" ... and it was like everyone sitting around us let out a collective breath that none of us realized we were holding. A couple of people laughed, but the release of breath was audible. :)
