One should not go looking for things one does not want to find lest it fuck up one's day.

We say we must listen to our instincts. But I think at times we listen to the voice of our fears so long that it can become very difficult to tell what is truth and what is actually keeping us from it.

11 very long days. 2 more to go. Just the thought going back to that hotel for two more nights makes me ill. I crave my own bed in my own quirky apartment. I miss the church bell. I really am too old to be going to work with a hangover.

I am COMPLETELY addicted to reading "Missed Connections" on Craigslist. For Pete's sake, make me stop! Make me stop saying "for Pete's sake" too. Ugh!

First hospital call on the crisis line. REALLY tough stuff. Once I got there, I wasn't nervous at all. I just got home and now the weight is hitting me. I'm shaking. I need sleep. At least I felt that I offered some light in a very, very dark situation. I feel grateful that I was able to do that.

So my mom calls me today and ask me if I want to hear something about Cathy. My stomach tightens. She says she doesn't want to upset me. I tell her that it is part of life and that it upsets me more when she hides things. That is usually true ( Read more... )

Hardest. Interview. Ever. I'm sure I bombed it and am almost more scared that I didn't. It's an UBER-corporate environment. I'd have to sit in a cubicle and I'd have to wear business attire every day. The money and bennies would be good and it is downtown so I could take public transportation.
