[So maybe, just maybe, today wasn't exactly the best day of Zhi's life. That morning, he figured it would have been amusing to attempt yet another thievery of his gege's homework. It wasn't that he had difficulty doing his own; in fact, a high mark was nearly always guaranteed if and when he could be bothered.
For him, stealing Yao's homework was simply something to do when bored.
Unfortunately for him, it hadn't gone well.
Instead, the only thing he got out of it was a humiliating trip back to the Slytherin common room, dragged in a Full Body Bind by his brother. In addition to that, though, he had also obtained quite the interesting notice about a certain party. It stated that two Gryffindor students were responsible for it, "those slimy snakes" were not allowed, and that there would be fireworks. Those three things were all that were needed for Zhi to make the decision: a party crashing was in order, and he would carry it out himself.
The rest of the day was uneventful, and Zhi told none of his fellow Slytherins in case they interfered at the thought of losing even more House points. He waited it out until it was almost time, and then armed with only his wand and a Disillusionment Charm, he set out for the Gryffindor common room. Of course, he knew to get in, one needed a code, but considering the time of the night it was, students would be starting to leave. Zhi's theory was soon proved correct as the portrait swung open to let a Hufflepuff student-- Kim, was it?- leave, and he wasted no time in carefully entering the room before it swung shut again.
Now that he was in, moving was a lot easier admist the noise and jostling of the students and Zhi scrambled quickly over to crouch next to the box of Whiz-Bangs before anyone noticed they were being shoved aside by thin air. A loud collective cheer rose from nearby; the winner of the Pygmy Puff race had evidently been decided. Zhi watched them congratulate and argue amongst themselves and waited for the last Pygmy Puff to be kept safely away. Carefully, he drew his wand and pointed at the box.
"Incendio."
And the fireworks began. Zhi stayed perfectly still amid the panic and chaos in that small room, not even flinching as a particularly spectacular fire-breathing dragon roared and crackled right past his head. It was quite a sight to behold as the Gryffindor common room was almost saturated with bright light and loud noises, not to say anything about the screaming crowd as they escaped the scene. The students left in a flailing mob, trying to escape the sparks and streamers chasing after them. Evidently, they weren't aware of the safety charms that had been cast.
Zhi was admiring the last of the fireworks in the now near-emptied room when two shadows fell upon him, and he looked up to see the Gryffindor Quidditch captain and another student, both looking-- well, furious would be an understatement. It didn't take long for him to figure that at some point, his Disillusionment Charm must have worn out. Before he could bolt for safety he was held up choking by the collar, but he was saved from certain fate and a black eye or two by the presence of the Head of Gryffindor. It wasn't hard to guess where they would be heading, and the moment he felt the blame about to be forced onto him, Zhi handed to the Headmistress the copy of the notice he had made that morning.
All three students emerged from the Office no doubt feeling considerably.. dejected, but Zhi felt at the same time a triumphant flood of success. The crashing had been a success, the fireworks spectacular and Gryffindor had lost almost four times the points Slytherin had. He only had a moment to dwell on the feeling, as the next saw him performing a faceplant and snatched up by a certain brother of his.
Petrificus Totalused once again, dragged back by Yao to his own common room once again, and with a note tied by a blue ribbon attached to him, Zhi was left (still immobile) by the doorway to await the judgement of the Slytherin House.]
