I spoke to a blind man yesterday   He was sat stroking a beautiful victorian style teddy bear infront of him.   when I spoke to him he told me he made the bear himself, he had made hundreds. He thought he`d bring it in , incase anybody wanted to learn the skill of crafting traditional bears, and did I think anybody would be interested?. I said

What a beautiful story. You are so blessed to be surrounded by people with such graceful, incredible spirits. I'm sure you can find somebody to pass the teddy bear trade onto. It would be such a gift to him, and to the person he teaches.

I hope he can teach us all. From the way he was talking, I suspect he doesnt have long to live. I also heard him mention how pleased he was to surpass his doctors `12 month prediction` of his life span. It doesnt really mean much when doctors estimate the amount of time you have left in my opinion, but it must mean he has some serious health problems.

I really like your slice of life sort of posts, even though this one was sad. It always makes me feel that more people should be reading them. I would be devastated if someone ripped up my crafts like that, but I guess the inspection has to be done...man, this really makes me hope I'll be in good shape when I get old :-)

Thanks. Im glad I still have my little core of readers, even if there arent very many of you!

The guy isnt very old either, which is sad , I think he is in his 40`s or so, but he has a shaved head and wears sunglasses so I cant tell very easily. But it kind of shows how important it is to use talents when we are young because we never know what might stop us when we are older.
