Not sure why you think it's whining..? You are concerned for someone you care about and it brings around shadows of something else. If that's self-pity I'd hate to see what you consider *unforgivable* self-pity.

What mal said. I'm so sorry about your SIL, and I hope she comes through this with flying colors.

You give yourself a break, too, OK? It's not being selfish to feel what you're feeling; you went through a horrible ordeal with your mom, and here you are thrown back in those same circumstances. You would be inhuman if you didn't feel stunned and discomforted.

I hope she gets her surgery today and does not have to wait until Monday. I know how these things go - not knowing till the last minute. I am thinking of you guys and you know you can call on me anytime sweetie. *love*
