I'd think any serious health condition warrants a fresh cake as opposed to part of one. Bringing them a piece of cake is nice, bringing half a cake is insulting.

totally... taking the cake for free from work is double insulting !
Not only she ain`t worth a new cake, but she is worth free cake.

Huskies are at least stage 4 fluffiness, therefore should get cakes all to themselves, and whipped cream dabbed on their noses, and cats to help with the whipped cream removal process. :9
