This trip to the midwest has really made me think. I really liked Beloit College - I liked the campus, liked a lot of the students, loved the professors I met... everyone was really nice about having 170 prospies wandering around campus ( Read more... )

Remember that the midwest hasn't lost its "winter coat" yet... hahaha. Mount Holyoke was kind of dead too but in the spring, summer and fall it's amazing. So Beloit will probably look a lot better in most other months. I'm not really sure if you want to take advice from me because I can't decide either, haha, but go where you feel you would have the best opportunities, experiences, etc. You will learn to love the surroundings if you love the school. And you will always have something to look forward to when you come home :)

(P.S. My grandma used to live in McMinnville and trust me, it's not that spectacular either. Hahaha. It's cute though.)

Hahaha, yeah, McMinnville is definitely not so thrilling. But it *is* close to Portland. But realistically, no closer than Madison is to Beloit.
Thanks, Rachel! We can make a decision, we can, we can. Maybe. :D
