Ever feel like you have grown up too fast. I really feel like that is my life. I feel old and it is really depressing. I have seen just so much and experienced just so much. I have been working since I was 12 and now I just feel old. I see these kids come into work (mind you these "kids" are actually 15) and I almost miss that age. I had a ( Read more... )

oh kim i understand how you feel. even though i havent been employed most of my life (only three years) it can feel like it sometimes especially with so many peeople going into college without ever having a job. i definately am not involved in something as life altering and challenging as the fire department but i always feel like im older than i am and that i have "grown up too fast." although it may not seem like it i take on too much and almost always feel rushed or stressed or worried about something and i always take on more than i can handle. i really think that college is best for you now. you can for once be selfish (in the best possible way) and focus on your social like and your love life because that is what you deserve. you said you didnt work mondays or tuesdays so one of those days we should get some people together and do something fun, run around and be hyper kids. i promise i will call you soon. have fun at the village with jo!

Everyone always jokes how I could save them, come to their rescue, do mouth to mouth...yadda yadda. But they really have no clue what ACTUALLY goes on in this field. Sometimes I wish they could understand, but then sometimes I'm glad they don't. The emotional aspects...it gets a little rough.

You two definately understand the most, and just like you said though sometimes you are glad they don't understand. I feel like I constantly have to be the protector. But thank you I was just in a really crappy mood yesterday, nice to know everyone feels the same way!!!

*sigh* i remember days like that back whem my dad was still around i'll never forget when i was 7 and they had a structure and he left me at the firehall all alone and i didnt know what to do or when i went to my first vehicle accident with my uncle i had to have only been 10 or so, oh well maybe it's better to experience things like that at a young age.
