Title: Looking for a Happy Ending Author: firefly_caPairing,Character(s): Kurt/Blaine, with eventual appearances from pretty much everyone

I'm glad you like it so far and sorry for the cliffhanger, which is ending up far more cliffhanger-y than I'd initially thought it would be (that may just be because I know the part I was originally going to end this on was much, much worse than what I ended up using).
Yay for getting the icon! I have a deep, abiding love for MST3K, and I firmly believe that the bots would have a field day with Rachel Berry. Their riffs on "Run Joey Run" would have been a thing of beauty to be admired by the ages.
I'm glad you're enjoying the story still - last part will be coming soon :)
Yes, there will be a sequel that deals with the year following this one, and that has...I guess you'd call them flash forwards of Blaine's life in the future.
That will likely be a ways off before it's posted, because I'll be writing it in the middle of my last year at university, so things will be a little busy.
I'm sorry! Don't worry though, there's a whole other part for things to get better! Well, first they'll get worse, but then they'll get better, I promise.
How, how the fuck did Kurt's family let Blaine go home (back to Tom)?
After everything that Blaine said, how could they NOT either force Blaine to stay with them and/or just call the police (or CPS -- child protective services) regardless of how much Blaine objected?!
What is with people?
Blaine outright (FINALLY!!) told Kurt he had been repeatedly molested from age 7 onwards; he told a crowd of people about his (supposed) father beating him; and STILL he is sent back to deal with crazy Tom? What the flying fuck?!
You said this was based on a real abduction case -- did the kid in that case find people to talk to who allowed him to return to his molester, b'c if so, this is the most horrible story ever! I can't stop crying...
I can't believe I spent the past week feeling sorry about my own life when this type of thing happens everyday...
This is based on a true story that happened many, many years ago, and yes, there was an incident when this kid was at a friend's party, drunk out of his mind, sobbing and telling his friends all about his horrifying life with his "father." The boy's name was Steve Stayner and I'm with you on the crying bit. It's an extremely sad story on many levels.
I think the only thing you could say in his friends' defense is that it happened a very long time ago (late 70s-early 80s) when male sexual assault was even more stigmatized than it is now, and also in a time when these sorts of long-term abductios just weren't as well-known, so I doubt many people would have known the proper way to react.
Also, he spilled his guts to a room full of drunk teenagers. Not the most reliable people to help you out of a tough situation.
So far as this story goes, yeah Burt and Carole completely screwed up. They should never have let Blaine go back unsupervised and called the cops no matter what Blaine said. However, they never got the

And I'm so glad Blaine finally told someone about what's been happening to him even if he hasn't told everything. Oh, God.
You've mentioned there will be a sequel, right?
