You're killing me with this, you're seriously killing me. His dad's reaction whenever Blaine flinches or tells him not to touch him...this is just so heartbreaking.

And I adore the bits with them as adults...definitely makes everything else a little easier to read, because they're just so damn cute and happy.

I'm a big fan of knowing that they end up cute and fluffy, and for showing that they have their cute and fluffy moments now, for that matter. I like my angst best when I know everything will be at least starting to get better by the end.

Thanks for commenting! I'll try to get the next part up soon :D

you break and remake my heart so many times over with each chapter, i'm wondering how you manage not to lose any of the bits. brilliant.

Well...I haven't lost any yet haha. We'll see if I can keep it up (if I drop a couple pieces, who knows? I have vague and shadowy ideas of stand-alones in this 'verse too, set in the future).

Thanks so much for commenting! I'm glad you liked the update :)

I am so happy to see these new chapters! As usual, your writing is awesome sprinkled with amazing. Thanks, and don't keep us in suspense for long. Great job!

Thanks so much for commenting (and saying nice things about me - right now I want a Starship gif with Up saying, "I like you because you are nice to me" but sadly I don't seem to have one...yet).

I've already written a couple Big Scenes for part three out of sequence, so hopefully it won't be as long between updates. I can't promise though, since I have a habit of writing a lot (in case you missed that haha).

oh man im so excited there's a new chapter up! i love how every section starts out with a snippet of the future so that, despite how angsty the chapter may end, you know things are eventually ok. i felt so bad for blaine's dad in the end, because its obvious both his parents are struggling to connect, but thus far, his mom has had an easier time with the jokes and such and now his dad's been pushed even further away. but i cant wait to see how he actually feels about blaine being gay. blaine seems so convinced that he wasn't ok with it, i can't help but wonder what was really going on in his head.

Thanks for commenting! I like starting out with the future scenes too (way better than writing the flashbacks for the last story, let me tell you). I don't know if they'll carry on past the next update, but we'll see what happens.

I'm so glad the stuff with his parents is working for you. Everyone was so worried about their response to Blaine's sexuality in the last update, I felt like I was leading people astray (it was totally Blaine's fault, not mine. These damn unreliable narrators!), but it's really a lot more complex than them just being accepting of his sexuality or not. I'm happy it's coming across better now that he is more comfortable around his family.

It's amazing how much of a sniveling wreck I become, every single time I read a posting you've left...

My emotions actually ran the gamut this time, but Blaine's inner hatred of himself at the end just about killed me.

I hope, oh so very much, that he gets a new therapist in the near future, b'c no matter how well he's dealing w' life years down the road, I'd prefer he not continue to suffer as a science experiment (at least in his mind) unable to speak about any or all issues that bother him soon after he's been rescued. He's living such a hellish existence -- proper therapy would be such an important step...

(Also, what's the deal w' Kurt acting like a scared rabbit whenever sex comes into the picture? I guess we'll find out about that later in the story...)

Thanks for reading!

I think Blaine's issue with the therapist isn't that she's bad at what she does, he just really hates the idea for now. It's not bad therapy exactly, he just hasn't really tried yet, but that (and the truckload of issues it drags along with it, natch) will be coming in the next part.

Coincidentally, scared bunny Kurt will also be dealt with then as well. There are a few different things motivating that attitude, but I promise, you'll find out soon :)
