brilliant work, as always. i love this story. i love how you characterise everyone, especially blaine and his recovery. i'm glad he's able to separate out sex, and sex with kurt. the warblers cracked me up and brett!!!!!! i really loved the someday snippet in the first part too - that poor girl! but i think it really shows the kind of people these boys grow into, who aren't afraid of dealing with the really hard stuff.

Thank you so much! I'm happy you liked the update, especially the flash forward. I really wanted to get across that a victim doesn't have to stay a victim forever. I won't be getting too into their kids' lives in the rest of the story (unless I write some standalones), but I wanted to make sure the readers could see at least the groundwork for people who are going to see Blaine as something more than "the kid on the news" about to become a major part of his life. After all, he's not going to be a brave former rape victim to these kids. He's going to be their dad ( ... )

Oh my. Wow. This whole chapter was such a mix of emotions, I don't really know where to start. Part A and most of Part B was really, really worrying. However, it had so many great lines in trying to explain how Blaine is feeling, such as the spiders in the chest, "He's starting to worry that he's losing his mind from being trapped inside it for too long," and his description to Trent about there being so many things inside him. I really felt those lines, and felt like I understood a bit of where Blaine was coming from ( ... )

Can I possibly just box up everything you said and quote it? that way I don't have to try and find inadequate words to express the same sentiments? Thanks. :D ♥

Thank you so much for the amazing comment and taking the time to write it!

I'm really happy all the plot developments and characterizations worked for you (especially Rachel's - my betas kept having to calm me down and assuring me she sounded right while they were editing haha).

I'm also incredibly relieved that the sex scene worked well for you. Seriously. You have no idea. I wanted to make sure it wasn't just about what they were doing but also how they felt about each other while they were doing it, but it made me nervous to write because my own orientation causes something of a disconnect for me on that front (I'm asexual). Basically, I get why people love each other (feels good) and why they have sex (feels good), but personally, my brain categorizes those as two very different things. When it comes to finding a motivation for bringing those two different types of good feelings together? I start getting a little lost. And yet I wanted them to start having sex with each other with that motivation driving the scene. Eeep haha. ( ... )

Thank you so much for the comment!

I'm so happy you're getting invested in the future story as well. There's not going to be much more of them in this story, unfortunately (believe it or not, this monster is finally winding down), but I do have a lot of background set up for them, spanning an embarrassingly long time, that I created while I was working out the story. If I find there's a lot of interest in the future story once this is finished, I may write some standalones so people see a little more about how Kurt's and Blaine's family ends up ( ... )

I would love if you kept writing about how Kurt and Blaine's family ends up. Although it is a difficult story to read and it must be even more difficult for you to write.

I thought the sex scene was incredible, one of the best I've ever read. It seemed so real!

I'm not crying.

I'm not.

That would be silly, crying over a fanfic. (Totally am lying right now.)

*sniff*

I'm not flattered and somehow disturbingly pleased that I made you cry over a fanfic.

I am also lying :D

Thanks for the comment and I'm so happy you liked the update!

I always do a little fistpump when I see you've updated, and then I always shake my head at myself because it almost feels wrong to be so excited about reading this kind of trauma. This particular chapter was amazing-- I, too, was so worried about the first part and Blaine's numbness after their fight. But parts c + d really brought some beautiful perspective and hope into the process. I think that is my favorite part about this whole series-- the way you write little (or sometimes big) victories in the face of what feels like insurmountable pain. Thanks again for a wonderful chapter.

Thank you so much for commenting, and letting me know you can see the victories throughout the story. Sometimes I feel a little guilty because I feel like I keep promising the readers that it's going to get better for Blaine, but when I actually write the chapter, the good things seem lost in all the crap he's still sorting out. It means a lot that you can see the good stuff is still happening for Blaine, and that his life is getting better. There's just a lot of hurt he has to fight through before he gets to those small victories :/
