I wish I were a better painter... or a writer and director of movies... so that I could put to paper the images you weaved into my brain with this story.

Wow, thanks so much. I'm honestly just incredibly flattered right now. The original story is very much like that for me. I never would have written the story at all if morph0fairy's art didn't instantly make me remember the way I'd visualized the novel. The extra illustrations made me make the most ridiculous sounds when I saw them, because what morph0fairy created was such a perfect translation of that story into this fandom. I actually freaked right the hell out. Thank you for all the comments!

I am definitely getting a copy of that book. I have to read it. Although I'll be said if the north wind is actually a woman.

Ah, well, the north wind IS a woman in the book (which as a visual honestly is much easier to work with, what with the long hair and billowy clothes), but damn does she ever have that Kurt Hummel attitude haha. The original isn't a romance at all, and it doesn't have the stuff with the water in it. I put that in to justify a Klaine romance because it felt too creepy Twilight imprint-y if one character was older than forever and fell in love with a kid. The whole special thing about the original boy is that he's totally average but still manages to completely change the lives of all these people. But it is CRAMMED full of all these wonderful, perfect little moments that are deceptively deep. I adore it.

There's a link to it in the author's note up there - both to an epub text and downloadable audio files (both free because public domain is awesome), if you want to give it a try :)
