I love that we get to have this perspective, what Burt and Kurt and everyone else were going through, worrying about Blaine. This whole series is so heartbreaking but it's riveting at the same time, and you've done such a great job with it. I hang on every word, worrying about these characters. It's great to see you post another piece to the overall puzzle.

Thanks for sharing it with us! :)

So great to get Kurt's POV on these events. It was so painful, especially since we knew so much more than Kurt about what was going on. Britanny's attempt at comforting was particularly sweet and painful. Overall, I loved it, and I'd definitely be interested in any more you might have planned.

Thanks for the comment! I do have one more one-shot for this story tentatively mapped out in my head, about Kurt and Blaine as parents. It will take a lot of work to get it in good enough shape to post, but maybe one day...

It's so crazy how I randomly decided I wanted to read this story again on Saturday and once again stayed up until 2 in the morning completely engrossed and then out of nowhere there's an additional one-shot. Not to mention that this one-shot is something I've imagined over and over again and have been wanting desperately ever since the first time I read your amazing story.
I can't even describe to you how much this fic blows me away and I just completely devoured this one-shot. I feel like I could read from this verse forever and it's totally because of what a talented storyteller you are. So congratulations to you for being to write something so heartbreakingly beautiful and thank you so much for doing it! And especially thank you for writing this one-shot because I wasn't lying, I've literally been craving to hear Kurt's side in all this for months.

Perfect timing! I'm really glad you were excited to read about Kurt's side of things. Kurt's experience during Blaine's disappearance has been rattling around in my head since I first wrote the story last summer, so I'm glad to hear that the interest in it was there.

Indeed! I think one of the reasons I wanted to write this one-shot is I was very caught up in how horrible it must be to be as completely out of control of the situation as Kurt was. It would be such a terrible feeling.

I really love this series and am so happy that you decided to write this. It was nice to get Kurt's perspective on this, especially early on when they were talking about how fine Blaine is, when we all knew what was happening to Blaine and that he wouldn't be coming back to the Hummels. Well done. You're portrayal of all of this throughout the story is spot on. Characterization is true to cannon but different enough to have been adjusted to this new world they live in in which they have to worry about their friend being kidnapped.

Great story. In fact, I'm going to go back and read read the series from the beginning now. It's been so long!

Thanks so much for commenting and I'm glad you still like the story after all this time! Kurt's perspective here is something that's always been in the back of my mind as I wrote the story. As I was writing, I would be making sure Blaine's timeline was matching up with Kurt's, like, "Okay, so Blaine's going to have to be out of the house in under an hour or else they'll cross paths when Kurt goes to check on him with Burt," or, "Right about now is when Kurt gets the idea to check out websites, but it's not going to help find Blaine because of blah blah blah." So I'm very happy I had the time to finally write about Kurt's side of it so you all have a chance to read it now :D
