Merry Christmas everyone!
After I finally finished up my finals and frantically packing up my room (I had 17 boxes, I didn't know I had so much random stuff) I drove up to the Bay Area with Darcy as my driving buddy, and after dropping her off I went to Megan's house in Marin County, just north of San Francisco. That night we went into San Francisco, which was cool because I'd actually never been before. We got dinner at a cute little Italian place, went to Ghiradelli (sp?) Square, and went to a few bars before we realized we were totally exhausted and went home. I also saw a Jesus and a Santa with red plastic cups run across the street, which was kinda awesome. The next day we went to Napa! We went to about four different wineries and did wine tastings, and afterwards went to the Greystone Culinary Institute for dinner. After staying up late, I drove home on Monday with a brief stop in Portland to have dinner with Sina and Nick at this delicious crepe restaurant called Le Happy. I had this delicious baked apple and gorgonzola crepe, and got a few bites of a chocolate and pear dessert one which was also awesome.
I've been home for about a week now, and I've mostly been hanging out and going to the gym. I did go with Tara and Alexander to the "Diamond Lounge" and Babalouie's in Bonney Lake, both of which were hilariously lame bars. I'm not gonna lie, seeing Tony Schwartz djing an absolutely atrocious set was pretty damn hilarious. Tina's also been home, which is really nice! Christmas was good, I got stuff I really needed- a nice warm winter coat, a new ipod, and a nice business suit for all the interviews I'll need to be doing.
Now I'm trying to think of what to do for New Years....I'm hoping to do something with Maggs and Britta, but we'll see. Either way now that Christmas is over I've got to get back to the gym and get working on all the books I have/filling out applications/revising my resume/etc. Fun fun.
