I sometimes wonder if identity is something other people assign us rather than one we assign ourselves. I'm often too busy just trying to get in all the business of daily life to think about who I am as an entity. Yet, to me, your identity has a number of attributes I could rattle off. That's not to say that I don't know anything about who am. Obviously I do. And, as importantly, I know who I'm not. But I do think it's easier to assigns others an identity than it is ourselves.
