Well it looks like the coast is clear... of everything. It's insane trying to describe to people in the Portland the devastation that a hurricane can have on a community especially when they don't watch the news

houses are standing in diamondhead?? that is where my grandma lives. alls i know is that my family is safe too. i am glad your family is safe. i guess we wait for "good" news.

I can't account for all the houses in diamondhead and honestly I don't recall where my uncle's house is... all i know is that my grandma lives off of shady lane in long beach... my aunt rita lane... my house on alverado... all still standing apparently... one can only hope everyone we know and love made it out ok.

I'm in my dorm, the rest of the family evacuated to Alabama before the storm hit. So we're all safe, but homeless.

Hello, I came across your community ahamoments while looking for communities similar to mine. I was wondering if you would be willing to promote my community as I am just starting to try and get if off the ground. The basic premise is that I post a set of scripture and some discussion questions follow. I am using the NIV Serendipity Bible as my source. Right now we are studying the book of Job. I will reciprocate any advertisement by either making you a banner or simply promoting you in my community and on my own livejournal.
