Character Name; Axel.
Series/Fandom; Kingdom Hearts.

Age; Unknown, though I peg him at about 20.
Gender; Male.
Species; Nobody. Appears the same as a human on the outside, yet he lacks a heart.
Sexuality; Pansexual, though he most likely won't be interested during his stay. If he was, though, I don't think he'd care about gender.

Appearance; Axel's look, overall, is rather unique, and he has a number of qualities that seem to stand out. Like his element, his hair is shockingly red, coming back in long spikes, with matching eyebrows that appear to be very delicately cared for and trimmed. Underneath all that, his eyes are a bright, striking green color, standing out due to their color and shape. Below the eyes he has two lines, which appear to be tattoos, coming down on his cheeks.

As for the rest of him, he has a rather small build about him. Physical bulk isn't one of his traits. Rather, he's tall and thin. His black cloak doesn't help add any bulk to him, either, as it fits pretty tightly around his body, showing off his thin arms and waist.

Personality; What someone would first notice about meeting Axel would be that he is selfish, sarcastic, and arrogant. Confident and cocky, he can stroll into almost any situation with his head up and grin wide. On the note of him being selfish, Axel's general philosophy is 'save yourself'. His pride has no issue leaving someone behind, or letting him simply run away. As long as he gets out alive, he doesn't care about pride or honor. It might be kind of harsh to say it, but there's no denying the fact he only cares about himself.

Also, if it comes down to it, he'll go through whoever he has to, whether they're ally or not. Just because he's working with you doesn't mean he cares about you, and the truth of it is he probably honestly thinks he'd be better off without you. He's the type who tends to work alone, and is fully confident in his ability to do so.

Axel would never admit there's anything wrong. He hides his problems and dilemmas behind that grin of his and his sense of humor, trying to turn any situation around.

A lot of people make the mistake that's he's stupid, when he's quite the opposite. Though he isn’t a scientist, Axel knows how to deal with people very well, and is able to worm his way out of almost any situation. One of his skills is he's an amazing talker. He can twist words against the most intelligent of opponents. Also, he's a fast thinker, quick to outwit any of his opponents.

That's probably one of the reasons Axel appears so careless. His actions are often seem rash, but we shouldn't underestimate him. On top of being crafty, Axel is also amazingly skilled in combat.

All these skills combine as we reach one of the most crucial aspects of Axel's personality: his double-crossing. Though there are alot of things he seems to be, one of Axel's deadliest points is the fact that he can usually make you believe what he wants you to believe, preferring that he keeps as much about him as private as possible.

He plays his role so well, he rarely leaves you in doubt of his alliance. This is achieved through a number of methods, from killing off an ally without batting a lash to belittling himself. He easily throws away his pride in favor of survival, and as he's really the only person he's looking out for, he'll do anything to achieve that. With that in mind, it goes without saying that it's almost impossible to tell whether or not Axel is on your side.

However, there are much deeper layers to him that give him quite a contrast. It's rather shocking to find that, despite appearing calm and in control of himself, he can sometimes let his 'emotions' get the best of him. Deep down, Axel is a passionate being, always living on the edge, and enjoying the rush of the moment.

Though he is overly selfish almost all of the time, there are times when he can be rather selfless. The masses don't mean a thing to him, but if there is even one person he cares for, he'll do almost anything for them. That one person will earn his undying loyalty and friendship, and if it came to it, he might even put them before himself (quite the feat for Axel).

Abilities/Strengths; Axel's main ability and calling is his ability to wield fire. He possesses a great control over it and can manipulate it to his will, able to withstand the heat, even coveting it. He's also very coordinated and can use his dual weapons, the chakram, and the way he fights with them with fire at his side is how he earned the name of the Flurry of Dancing Flames. On top of his control of fire, Axel is also able to make dark corridors, portals that will take him instantly from place to place.

Also, outside of supernatural or magical abilities, he's also very smart. He's a fast thinker, and according to him no one can outrun or outfox him. He's good with words and can twist them to his liking, be it beneficial or just for his amusement. He's also able to hide his thoughts and moods very well, brushing things off with ease and putting on an act.

Weaknesses; Axel's most notable physical weakness is probably his size. While he's good with his weapons, he has a small frame, which puts him at a great disadvantage in physical confrontations. Also, he can tend to be a bit paranoid at times, which accounts to the fact he's not a very trusting person. Most of his time is spent trying to think of ways to save his own skin, making him pretty selfish. As he only cares for himself, for the most part, he'll even kill off allies to ensure his own safety, and usually it doesn't leave him with any guilt.

Another thing is the fact that Axel doesn't really care for his pride or dignity, and will even belittle himself if it'll save his life. When it comes to fight or flight, he'll easily run away before someone can gain the upper hand.

One more very notable weakness would be that of Roxas. Where most people could insult and belittle him to no end without him batting a lash or breaking a grin, the smallest comment from Roxas can shatter his confidence.

Notable Possessions; His weapons, two chakram.

History; Axel was ranked at VIII in Organization XIII, a group of thirteen Nobodies, or beings that no longer possessed a heart. These remnants came to exist in an in-betweem realm of nothing after a person lost their heart to darkness. Axel's origins start with his heart being purged, as anything that happened in his life as somebody is long forgotten, and eventually finding the Organization who promised him that he would become whole again.

Trouble stirred when Xemnas (I), suspecting ill plots amongst the Organization, placed Axel in a tricky position in Castle Oblivion. Axel was ordered to find, infiltrate, interrogate, and eliminate any and all traitors. You could argue that technically, he did as assigned, though the problem here was it was left to Axel's discretion to choose and perform a course of action at any given moment.

These orders required Axel to step into a double agent role, investigating the plots made by junior members Marluxia (XI) and Larxene (XII). Marluxia and Larxene's plans to do this involved a small girl that was placed in their control, Namine, a witch who could control memories.

Using Namine, they were able to rewrite the memories of Sora as he ventured through Castle Oblivion. This was how they planned to overtake him and use him as a weapon against the superior members.

When Axel tried to join the siege, Marluxia was wisely wary of him. As a form of test for the nobody, Marluxia ordered him to eliminate a senior ranking member, Vexen (IV). Axel completed the task, putting a foot in Marluxia's circle and giving him the distinction of being the first to kill a member of the Organization. Once Axel proved that he could knock-off a senior ranking member, Marluxia was more open with him. That was how Axel got close.

After this, Axel spent his time 'plotting' with Marluxia, helping him scheme plots to gain control of the keyblade wielder (Sora) and, ultimately, Organization XIII.

It became apparent that Axel had no qualms with eliminating members of the organization, and this also eventually leads him to eliminate Zexion (VI) by turning the Riku Replica against him. Even after this, Axel keeps his cool and plays his part well, leaving Marluxia in no doubt that Axel is on his side.

Finally, Axel finds his chance when Marluxia leaves him alone to watch Namine. Axel uses this chance to encourage Namine to flee, an act which sets Marluxia's plans into chaos. After this, Axel reveals his role as a double Agent to Marluxia, then challenges him in an attempt to finish him off, too. However, Sora, who has taken care of Larxene already, interrupts the scene and Axel flees, leaving him to deal with Marluxia.

After Sora took care of Marluxia and Larxene, Axel found he was the only member who survived the events in Castle Oblivion, and returned to the Organization. There, they questioned and looked down at him with doubt, but he didn't let it get to him. Life was about as comfortable as it could get, for Axel.

However, a complication arose in the form of Roxas. Roxas happened to be the nobody of Sora, the keyblade wielder, and also had the power to wield keyblades. This made him useful to the organization, especially in their plot to collect hearts, and was the reason he was recruited. Though Axel and Roxas were loners by nature, they eventually came to build a bond with one another, a trust.

The problem came when Roxas left. Axel, who had always worked so hard to convince himself he was better off alone, found out just what he feared: being alone. Roxas was someone Axel found kinship with, and possibly even loved. Whether platonic or romantic, this is quite an achievement for Axel. Thus, this proved to be rather a dilemma for the poor nobody.

Axel was torn and felt betrayed, yet more bad news came when Xemnas placed a bounty on Roxas' head, and made Axel the cat in the chase. Axel was assigned a mission to bring Roxas back, and if Roxas failed to comply, Axel was then expected to kill him. For a person who didn't let the murders of the other members weigh in on him, this was a suprisingly heavy weight for him.

When he found Roxas in Twilight Town, he had every intention of following orders (because hey, who wants to become a mindless, heartless dusk?), but upon seeing the boy he found he just couldn't do it.

It seemed that Roxas had forgotten him, which hit the nobody pretty hard and fueled him all the more. Despite it hurting so bad to face it, Axel found that he still couldn't betray that trust. Even though his Roxas seemed to be gone, Axel would not kill him.

Right after Axel fails to carry out the mission, Roxas rejoins with his somebody, Sora. After that, it appears as though Sora is whole once again, with Roxas back where he belonged.

Axel wasn't satisfied however. That was when he left the organization and set out with his own plans, ones that involved scheming to get Roxas back. Working on his own, Axel sought to turn Sora into a heartless once more, which would allow him to seperate Roxas from him and regain his friend back. Along the way, he kidnapped Kairi, who he was going to use against Sora as bait.

His flight from the Organization hardly went unnoticed, however, and soon Axel found that he was now the traitor who needed to be eliminated. Running out of options and gaining more and more enemies, Axel found he was backed into a corner. Saix, placed in charge of getting rid of him, found Axel and attacked him, leaving him for dead and taking Kairi back with him.

Axel, half-dead, wasn't about to give up that easily. Thumbing his nose at them, he sought Sora out, finding him in a bind. Lost in a world between and surrounded by nobodies. Axel had alot on his conscious by this point, and had actually started to feel guilty for everything he'd done. He intended to tell Sora where Kairi was so that he could rescue her, but soon found himself in the fray, helping Sora fight them one by one. When things started to look hopeless, Axel finally gave his life in one last kamikaze move that wiped out the army, and ultimately, wiped himself out.

As Axel was fading, Sora got to say a few last words to him. First of all, he had wanted to tell Kairi that he was sorry for what he had done, and explained to Sora that he only wanted to see Roxas again. He confessed that Roxas had made him feel like he had a heart. After this Axel tells Sora where to find Kairi, opening a portal into The World That Never Was just before he fades.

Under construction.
