1. Yes. 2. I have read all except The Tales of Beedle the Bard. 3. Yes, I did. I was eleven when I first picked up a Harry Potter book, so from what I can remember, I very much enjoyed The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, anything by Roald Dahl, Holes by Louis Shachar, Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine, The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder, The Giver by Lois Lowry, the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark trilogy by Alvin Schwartz, and The Oz Chronicles by L. Frank Baum. 4. Yes. I'm a book addict. 5. Being eleven when I read the first book, I found the main characters easy to relate to, and I was envious of their fantastical world and adventures. As I got older, I still found the plot and the world holding my attention and fascinating me. 6. Yes, I see the books as a huge part of my childhood/adolescence. Also, I enjoyed reading before I first read a Harry Potter book, but J.K. Rowling made me love reading

1. Yes 2. Books 1-7 3. I've been reading since I was about 4 or 5 years old. 4. Of course. 5. My friend said, "Hey, you should read these books. They're really good." 6. Yes. Not drastically, but I've definitely started reading more Harry/Draco than Brian/Justin. 7. I hope so 8. I think it is a great thing! 9. Epilogue? What Epilogue? 10. I think so. I hope so. If I ever have children I will definitely be sharing these books with them.
1. Yes. 2. All 7 of the series, none of the extras. 3. Yes, tons. Mainly fantasy, Andre Norton, Holly Lisle, Mercedes Lackey, Larry Dixon. 4. Yes, a lot. 5. The fantasy aspect is what drew me originally. 6. I would say yes, because it's provided me with such a constant and powerful source of joy. :) 7. Yes, I think it's always going to be around, one generation after the next will fall in love with it, like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars 8. a wonderful and beautiful thing that has brought together so many people who otherwise would never have met. 9. Personally, I wish the epilogue had not been written. 10. Of course it will be.
PS: I have a little clip from a DH midnight release party in Montreal that I took on my digital camera if you're interested. You can give me your e-mail if you want me to mail it.
1. Yes 2. Have read: Books One through Seven. 3. Yes. I've been reading avidly since I was six or seven. I believe the Spy High Series by A.J. Butcher was one of my favorites before Harry Potter. 4. Yes. 5. The cover. I found the first one in my elementary school library, and I remember liking the lightning bolt 'H'. 6. Absolutely. 7. I think so, especially with the diverse audience the books draw. I can see them being popular for a very long time. 8. Great. 9. Overall I thought it was overdone, but perhaps being in fandom makes me biased. There was far too much schmaltz and it was a bit of a let down. To come down from the book that kept me guessing from the beginning up to the mind-boggling end to read a cliche, run-of-the-mill happily ever after was disappointing to me. 10. Most definitely.
