He stared out at the water when he walked up to her, the sound of his footsteps just enough to alert her to his presence. He had his hands in his pockets. "I'm fine," he said curtly, referring to standing off to the side and staring out at the lake.
As she spoke, he stared out at the lake even more, refusing to even so much as look at Ignacia as she started on her goodbye.
"Are you certain that you're going this time?" he asked her. He could never tell with her.

Ignacia watched the waves gently make their way to the bank. "Sorry for all the prep goodbyes. I'm just taking in as much time as possible before Corina expects me..."
A pause.
"Will you miss me?"

That said, he sometimes would wish that someone would miss him. Not that he'd ever admit it, of course.
"Miss you?" he said in a half-laugh. That was a good question, one he could know the answer to for certain, but admitting it to her? She'd just giggle and want to stay forever at his side. The thought annoyed him, to have to always be watching out for her and not being able to do what he wanted, when he wanted.
"I doubt it," he lied. His expression was intelligible.

Ignacia nudged Fiero from her lap and brought her knees up to her chest, hugging them close.
Fiero jumped down to visit Silver. He sat at the boy's feet, looking up at him. His eyes seemed to plead.
