Nice - sounds like someone rank and file made an executive decision to turn kids away. That someone would probably be better suited to working at Scrooge and Marley rather than a library - where TEH people are.

The cool thing is that the library gets some of its book-buying budget from the Summer Reading Club, dependent upon getting positive feedback about the Club from parents. Library staff hand out feedback forms at the party. When they barred my kid (and others) from the party, they didn't count on my making sure that the negative feedback of the exiled was heard, too!
