I am moving back to my house. The tenants are gone, and we are renovating the basement for my homeschool/playroom, and putting an office in the garage for Brian. We have been back and forth moving slowly from our apartment in Orangeville to our old home in Oshawa.

Asbestos is a pretty exaggerated risk. IIRC the only people who ever had any negative affects from it were smokers who worked in demoing asbestos-laden construction.

Certainly, everything I've read states that the highest risk were to people who worked with it who also smoked, but I still don't want my children covering themselves and their bed in it on a daily basis.

We're getting a quote from a removal company, and we've decided that if it comes down to a choice between removing it and getting our planned renovation done, we're going to keep the stucco, do the renovation, and get rid of the bunk bed.

What's IIRC? I'm so hopeless on internet and text lingo.
