Phenomenal colors! And I love the arrow and shapes--what a great design for this space. Also, your comment about potty training (and the arrow pointing to the john) makes me read the picture of the little guy on the red chair differently. ;)
(Sorry, I keep editing this reply. I hope you don't get it emailed to you three times!)
That's hilarious! I didn't even notice how Brontë was positioned in that photo on the red chair, actually. There's also an arrow on the opposite wall in the powder room that goes up, pauses for the door, then continues on the other side of the door, turns, and points to the sink to remind her to wash her hands!
And no worries about stalking, I assume my details are always enough for anyone to know which it is, if they care. the only reason I don't call it by name is because of google-bots and how every staff member and trustee has google alerts set, and I want to keep my Lj and pseudonym out of my workplace--not the other way round, hiding my workplace from my Lj peeps.
I hear you. I kept my workplace nameless in lj for the same reason. Anybody could figure out which mental health centre I worked in simply by what area of the GTA I live in. But I like to keep lj out of my workplace.
We're old-school. Nowadays, there's less and less anonymity on the internet, which I really don't like.
Thanks! My dad did the whole thing. It was a dark, dingy, unfinished basement with cement floors. Dad framed it, insulated it, drywalled it, painted it, and put in the flooring! I chose the colours, and he said he hated it, but I think he grew to like it, because he did the arrows and shapes as a surprise for me. If he had really hated it as much as he said, he wouldn't have spent all that time putting his personal touches into the paintjob! I just love it, and so do the children!
