MBTI types of Star Wars and Harry Potter characters

I used to really be into the MBTI. I am still into it, although not as much as before. I am an IXFP. MBTI tells you whether you are Introverted or Extraverted, Sensing or Intuiting, Feeling or Thinking, Judging or Perceiving. If you are not familiar with MBTI, go here: http://www.personalitypage.com/html/info.html And there is also Jugian cognitive ( Read more... )

Well, are there any typings that you disagree with? Do you, for example, think that Padme might really be a Thinker, or that she might be an Extravert?

I'm still of the opinion that Anakin is a N. I mean, I think he would be both a N and a S, equally, but since that's virtually impossible...

Yeah...I'm still ambvialent about his type. I was paying attention to the cognitive functions when I typed him, which is why he ended up being a Sensor. But if you ignore them, then yes he would probably be more of a Intuitor. Also, it would make more sense for a INFP to become a ISTJ because they share the same cognitive functions. An INFP's cognitive functions are Fi Ne Si Te whereas a ISTJ's functions are Si Te Fi Ne. A ISFP's cognitive functions are Fi Se Ni Te.

Fascinating idea, but I wish you had given explanations (with examples of behavior from the canon material) for why you think a character has a certain personality type.

I should done that, but I was too lazy. I can, however, explain why I think Luke is an ISFP rather than a INFP. I think he uses more Ni(Introverted Intuition) than Ne(Extroverted Intuition). Intuition may be the third function in an ISFP, but in SPs particuliarly ISFPs it often manifests itself as a "gut feeling"---an example of this with Luke was when he could sense the good in Vader, although he may have been able to sense it using his Force powers.
