Considering the results, I wouldn't exactly call it a waste of time. I mean, have you ever been able to actually conjure stuff before? I'd say keep expanding on what you've found out, just don't keep everyone out of the loop next time.
My Ra, you scared the shit out of us. I know you got to hear Ahmose's "you did WHAT without supervision???" lecture already, which is why I haven't said anything, so I'm not gonna harp on that. But really, it sounds like you got some good results, so I'd keep going. Just either explain what you're doing so everyone (mostly the Yamis) don't freak as much, and let someone give you some sort of protection. Even if you can't have anyone actually THERE (I assume shadow energy + you doing spells = bad), someone could at least cast some protective spells or something. Protection from Magic, Minor Globe of Invulnerability, Spell Immunity, etc, or a protective item could set everyone's minds more or less at ease.

I've never used a magic ring or anything like that before, but if it works the way I think it does it would probably be more trouble than protection. Don't think any of the group has ever cast a spell on me, maybe a healing spell, but I don't really remember. Either way I'm not sure what that would do to my energy working, and I'm in no hurry to find out.

I still say you took a big risk that could have gotten you hurt or killed, but, well...what's done is done, and you do have results that seem to indicate you could do more than what you can now. I don't think that was a waste of time, reckless maybe, but not a waste. Continue working if you want, but don't pull another D-chan.
