As far as ditches go, it was probably the best one to get stuck in.

Some small amount of drama this weekend. I was driving late at night after it had snowed...I was being SO careful too...going really slow (20 in the city, 30-40 max on the highway) and taking the turns really gently. I got ALMOST to Joe's house, like within a few blocks, and when I took one of the last turns, my freaking car slid off the road and ( Read more... )

Yeah, I just kept thinking that my poor car has been through SO MUCH and I didn't want to damage her even more! Glad it's ok and it worked out with the best possible outcome. :)

Also, I had SO MUCH fun on Friday. I would LOVE to get the recipe for the stir fry, because my god, it was so good. :) I wish I could eat it tonight! Thanks again for an awesome night.

Thank you!! Me too. I was just so glad I went off where I did, and not a little down the road where the ditch was TOTALLY steep and I probably would have flipped my car or at the very least severely damaged it. I didn't even get a scratch! Lucky me. :D

Thank you! I'm so glad nothing really bad happened, because it could be a LOT worse.

ACK! I can't believe I didn't see this sooner (bad friend! bad friend!)

I'm so glad you're ok and it's wonderful to hear about the goodness of people. I hate to say it but it would've surprised me less to hear that nobody stopped and helped, I'm so glad that wasn't the case.

I realized that I myself never stop in a situation like that, and that made me kind of sad. Admittedly, I would usually be pretty useless because I don't have a shovel or rock salt and I'm not very strong and often wear weather inappropriate footwear (hello, clogs in winter), but I could at least stop and see if they need a phone or if they're ok. I never stop on the highway because I think it'd probably be more dangerous, but I think I'm going to try to be more of a good samaritan if I see someone stranded in the city from now on.
