Thanks! I'm not into kidfic either, but was having a hard time coming up with a 'secret' Kris wanted to keep hidden and still stay in character for Kris.

What a lovely story! I got a little nervous at one point thinking that Katy's parents were going to use Kris being with a man as a reason to try and take David away. Argh. But I'm glad that the story had a happy ending and that reconciliation really is the one thing that people want most with loved ones. :)

I considered taking that route with the story, but to do it well it would take a lot more time and research into laws than I had to work on it. I also didn't really want it to become about homophobia. So I went with keeping it simple and light.
