Math is delicious.

I am so proud--today I actually used my math degree!

Granted, it was to help my little sister do her math homework, but it still counts.

In other news, I am now officially done with the semester (woot!) so I have time to be social again. Emails, texts and calls are welcome!

Yay, useful degrees! Mine are... not useful. Well, being more able to put together a powerpoint and a coherent paper than those around me makes me smug. But aside from further bloating my already oddly-proportioned ego...

Yay, I can bother you again! I would try to bully you into visiting except that of the two of us, you are the one who is gainfully employed. Ah, well, c'est la vie.

Wait, yeah, aren't you studying poli sci or something? Am I just confused?

I am now studying information science, but I picked up a mostly-useless minor in mathematics as an undergrad.

Oh dur, I did know that. But I didn't ask you details - do you have a thesis requirement? What are you interested in particularly?

I have a master's paper, which should actually be easier than my undergrad project. No committee, just a single reader, and it only needs to be 40 pages or so. I already have 10 pages written, since I am adapting previous project.

My particular focus is databases and web design, since I thought I should actually pick up some marketable skills. Apparently, my odds of winning the lottery are actually quite low. Alas.
