Okay, all former bad feelings erased, and a bunch of good feelings put in place.
Fencing feels magical. Only word for it.

Started off with footwork. Advance, advance, retreat, advance, retreat. That kind of thing.
I really need to straiten my leg; I think that's what caused my injury.
Had a break, did some more footwork. Advance, lunge, and recover. Retreat, retreat, advance, lunge, and recover.
Then Charlie chose some beginners...and he included me.
Apparently, he was choosing the raw beginners for one-on-one practice with him (lunging and hitting him with the sword).
But then he looked at me, and appeared as if he was considering something. I looked him the eyes (which I've come to realized I do quite a lot, in quite a challenging way..) and he changed his mind and told me to suit up.
Ehhhhhh... I want to write down some suspicions I have of his opinion of me, but I'm too lazy to put it down coherently.
Anyway. Bouted with Jamie. Won three to one. She commented on my parries. Bouted her again, she won three to one. And, ooh! She charged me. I had no idea how to counter that.
Then Charlie called all of the ones he hadn't called before, and we practiced one-on-one with him. I think I did rather well, if I do say so myself. We did the 6 and 4 attacks, and then he showed us how to do a 7 and an 8. When he came to me, he had to show me how to do it... opposite. You see, I'm a lefty, and he showed everyone a righty 7 and 8, which is like a C and a J. =D then he commented on where a right handed person would attack me, usually, and then he had me parry 7 and attack. He exclaimed (only possible description) "good" and "excellent". But he also corrected my leg and foot. I REALLY need to practice that.
Hmm... I can’t think of much more.

I feel a bit like a cold-hearted bitch, in a non-caring way.
And as a conversation progresses, I increasingly feel the feeling that I’m in a movie, with dramatic lines and words spilling out of me.
I feel empty. Emotionless. It’s a novel feeling...

And I’m enjoying it...
