This is unacceptable.

I should like to say that you should all be ashamed of yourselves, especially you, but I am quite sure you feel nothing but glee at the damage you have caused ( Read more... )

I take it you're uncursed, now?

Uncursed and quite appalled.

It was hardly your doing, Reinette.

And yet I am the one left to clean up the mess.

These... curses do go away with all of their consequences, don't they?

Such is the case for nearly every other curse I have experienced, but not this one.

As it happens, I believe I know a way out of your regrettable circumstance.

Gee, I knew I should've objected when the opportunity presented itself.

They didn't nullify the legal documents?

From what I have heard from Natasha of my behavior, I am not sure that you could have stopped us.

Of course not. I am not sure if they will at all.

I always wanted to object during a wedding ceremony, you know. I just was figuring on saving it for Jeffrey's.

No problem. I can get you out of it. Does the guy have a lawyer?

I am not sure that a lawyer is necessary; his assistant has already drawn up papers to nullify the marriage. My only concern is deity recognition of these papers.

Quite. And I am out of my element in this world just enough to not know how to deal with it.

I'm not sure how I would go about arranging the cancellation of a marriage, either.

I have a vague sense of the process in my world, but not in this one.

...sorry, Reinette. I mean, it shouldn't count, should it? Are there even any real laws, here?

If it does still count, there's an easy way to remedy that.

I need a briefcase and a legal pad.

...Rudy, you haven't even graduated yet. [Which is, of course, a surface protest: he's already looking for a briefcase.]

It should not. But according to the deity who performed our "marriage", it does. The laws here are very much to their whim, and so I know very little of the legal system.
