So we had a trip to this courthouse in Brooklyn today to have a mock trial, and everyone had to dress up nice. I said to Deb that I thought that Malcolm (who I have told her before that I think is cute) looked really nice (well actually, I said snazzy) in his suit. This was, I must emphasize, just a passing comment. So then she started bugging

oh, god almighty. that's just incredibly annoying. I dislike unforseen consequences! I think you should just be like, "oh by the way [to the guy], I feel really awkward about that, didn't ask her to do it, etc." Explain the underdeveloped gland. Just make it all into a funny misunderstanding. You're usually unintentionally funny when you talk anyways, so it'll work!

Eh, it all worked out fine. We were talking and joking around like usual in class toady, so maybe I'll just never ever ever ever bring it up. Ever.
