Author Note: I went to a fair/carnival today. It was really fun. It kind of inspired me to write this and another fanfiction that will be posted shortly. (:
Ian entered his baby blue house, groceries in his hand. Expecting peaceful silence, he was met with blasting music. He rolled his eyes as he slammed the bags down on the counter and then walked down the hallway. Entering without knocking, Ian was surprised with what was going down in Anthony room.
Anthony and a brunette girl looked up in surprise. "Oh my god," Ian muttered.
Running out of the room, angry tears fell from Ian's eyes as he fled the house. The fuck just happened? Why was he crying over Anthony kissing a random girl? Why should he even care? Anthony was allowed to do what he wanted, he was a big boy, he could handle himself.
But none of that crap was relevant to what Ian was feeling. Angry? Probably. Sad? Possibly. Rejected and/or heartbroken? Def- wait, what? What the fuck was he thinking? He probably wasn't thinking.
Ian stopped at the park close to his house that he and Anthony filmed multiple Smosh videos in. He sat down at one of the benches and tried to sort his thoughts. Why in the hell he feel rejected or heartbroken because of Anthony? The whole entire concept felt alien to Ian.
Ian sighed, burying his face in his hands. None of this made any sense. Maybe he was going crazy. Yeah, that was it. He was going crazy. He should probably be checked into the closest mental hospit- "Ian?" Anthony's voice cut through Ian's thoughts.
Ian picked his head up from his sweaty palms and looked up to meet Anthony's chocolate eyes. "Yeah?" he answered casually, trying to ignore Anthony's concerned and confused expression.
"Are you okay, man? What the hell happened back there?" Anthony questioned him, concern written all over his face.
"Nothing. I just..." Ian trailed off, breaking their eye contact.
"You just what?" Anthony asked, he leaned his head down so he could look into Ian crystal eyes.
Ian shrugged and mumbled an "I don't know." Anthony rolled his eyes, clearly tired of playing games. "Bullshit, Ian. What the hell is up?" he asked.
"Nothing Ant, just leave it alone, okay?" Ian asked, eyes pleading.
Anthony sighed and threw his hands up in defeat. "Whatever you say, man," he replied.
It was Ian's turn to sigh. "Let's go back to the house, okay? I'm getting a little cold," he suggested, the air being cold than usual since it was mid-October.
Anthony nodded and stood up from the bench. The walk home was filled with awkward silence, neither of the two dared to speak, fearing that anything they say would come out wrong. It was quite amazing how two insanely talkative people managed to not say a word for the entire seven minute walk.
When they got home, the door happened to be locked. "You have the key?" Ian asked quietly.
Anthony shook his heads. "Don't you have it?" he asked.
Receiving a no, Anthony groaned in annoyance. "Well this is just fucking great," Anthony grimaced.
"Let me call my mom," Ian said, taking out his Android.
The conversation was brief and Ian's grimaced grew larger. "She has a spare but she'll be here in an hour or two. She's visiting a friend on the other side of the city," Ian explained.
Anthony groaned again and started to walk towards the backyard. Ian followed him, not wanting to be alone. The two laid in the backyard. The air was still chilly and Ian had forgotten his jacket inside. Anthony offered the lighter brunette his hoodie but he declined.
An hour and fifteen minutes pasted and Ian's mother still hadn't arrived or contact the two. The duo just laid on the green grass in their backyard, comfortable silence enveloping them.
Watching the clouds, Ian thought about his completely weird and irrational thoughts from earlier. There was no way in hell Ian had developed a crush on Anthony. That was impossible, it was weird, it was forbidden.
Anthony scooted closer to Ian as the sun started to go down and the temperature dropped even lower. Three hours passed, it was dark and Ian's mother still hadn't dropped off a key. Ian was shivered as was Anthony.
The two scooted closer and closer together. Soon they were shoulder to shoulder, sharing body heat, yet they were still freezing. With no other option, Anthony wrapped his arms around his best friend, pulling him close. The heat felt good against their cold skin.

Ian's mother slammed the door to her car. She walked into Ian and Anthony's backyard. She found them fast asleep in the middle of their backyard, entangled in each other's arms. She hated to wake them up but they would freeze to death out here.
"Ian," she shook her son awake.
Ian groaned and rubbed his eyes. He quickly woke up Anthony and Ian's mother unlocked their door, letting the two into their warm and comforting home.
"Thanks Mom," Ian said.
"No problem, hunny. Good night boys," she said kindly, smiling as she walked out the door.
Ian and Anthony shared a look and ran to Anthony's room, engulfing themselves in the covers, wrapping their arms around the other.
