I have completely lost all motivation. In the commercials for depression medication, they ask if your excitement for things that once interested you is waning. I look outside and can't picture myself there. I wonder if there's any point - I've seen this city a thousand times, and it hasn't changed. I know every face, and they don't welcome me. I ( Read more... )

Maybe you should get out of town for a little while?

I know you were supposed to go to Little Rock this weekend and it fell through...but I really thing it might help. I was in a similar rut recently and when I visited Kennett I felt better. It might have been being around family, but it might have been walking through the rows of corn and cotton and getting a wife-beater tan..Either way it's totally worth it.

You're always welcome here. We were thinking about going camping or hiking or something to if you want to get out a little. There are plenty of places to crash here and we make lots of yummy food and Milo loves to cuddle too!

I'm sorry I didn't get to see you again before I left, I was kind of hoping you'd be at FreakEngine...but that's okay, hopefully I'll see you sometime soon?

I completely forgot about FreakEngine for some reason. I think I fell asleep at like 9 that night.

I'm gonna go to Little Rock next week (the one after this upcoming week), so that'll be good, I think. It's the first thing I've been really excited about in a while.

That sounds like the absolute worst book, and yet I could see myself reading every last page and feeling exactly as you are now because of it. Books are dangerous like that.

I was about half way into it when I realized that I was never going to find out why anything happened and that the book was mostly going to be a cycle of "we're hungry, we're tired, oh look! we found food! - we ran out, we're hungry we're tired". But by then I really couldn't stop and I was beginning to enjoy it anyway.
