Age: Probably somewhere in his late 30s, in equivalence to human years, supposedly. The KFP timeline is iffy and weird so it's hard to actually be sure.
Gender: Male (he is a peaCOCK after all~)
Personality: On the outside, Shen seems rather pleasant and gentlemanly. He's extremely intelligent, polite, courteous, and very much reflects the high-class attitude of the nobility he is. He has a fondness for luxury, as he feels he's more than entitled to it as a royal. Yet, he's still almost charming, in a way.
However, underneath this thin layer of calmness and politesse lies Shen's true personality; a lethal, cold, ruthless, bitter, calculating, prideful, extremely violent and short-tempered perfectionist. He's highly ambitious to the point of obsession, and shows little or no regret for hurting, injuring, or even killing others that stand in his way. He is extremely paranoid and will leave nothing that can pose a threat to him of any sort if he has his way. However, he does often prefer to not get his hands (er, feathers) dirty with certain affairs, and will often have others do his dirty work for him if he can. He can even be very emotionally sadistic, as well as sadistic in general, destroying his enemy's psyche as much as their physical body.
This is likely due to the fact he is highly emotionally scarred himself. He retains the idea his family never loved or cared about him whatsoever, ashamed of his color and sickness and ignoring him to tend to duties more important than their only son. This has only been solidified in his mind since his parents banished him. What Shen may never know, or accept, is the truth that his parents truly did truly love him, so much so they died of grief after having to send him away. His inability to let go of this and move on from the past is what probably turned him into the unstable, possibly insane mess that he is.
Backstory: Long ago in Ancient China, Shen was born the only son of the noble Peafowl Family, rulers of Gongmen City, and who were widely renowned for the invention of fireworks. His unusual white coloring, the traditional color of death, was often seen as a bad omen to the family. As a child he was very sickly, weak and often confined to his bed. As his parents were almost constantly busy with their royal duties, he was most commonly looked after by his nanny, a Soothsayer.
When Shen grew older and he became less ill less often, he was trained in martial arts by Master Thundering Rhino, leader of Gongmen City's prestiged Kung Fu Masters Council. He eventually gained incredible skill and mastery over not only Kung Fu, but numerous deadly combat weapons.
However, the young Prince had another obsession; experimenting with the gunpowder of the fireworks and turning them into explosive weapons. This eventually lead him to develop many burn scars on his feet.
About the time Shen was a young adult, his parents began to grow concern for their son's destructive fascination, and so they consulted the Soothsayer who had helped to raise him for advice. She foretold that if Shen continued down his dark path, he would defeated by a Warrior of Black & White. Overhearing this prophecy, the young Lord became paranoid, and in a fit of panic, set out to change his fate. However, what he did next only sealed it...
Shen lead his army of Wolf servants to a village down the river, populated entirely by Pandas... and massacred it, burning it to the ground. He returned home to his family proudly, covered in blood. His parents could only look upon their only son with shock and horror.
For his crime, Shen was banished from Gongmen City, no longer able to take the throne. To protect the reputation of the royal family, the reason for Shen's banishment was covered up, and the destruction of the Panda village was announced as caused by a wildfire and murderous bandits. However, Shen's parents died of grief and regret soon after his banishment, and Gongmen City was now officially under the jurisdiction of the Kung Fu Masters Council.
Shen swore that someday he would rightfully reclaim his throne. For years he wandered and traveled the world, not only perfecting his abilities in weaponized martial arts, but also the experimentation and development of new weapons... ones that would breathe fire and spit metal.
Moral Standing: Neutral Evil most of the time, though he can easily slip into Chaotic Evil depending on the circumstance. He is completely fine with physical and emotional abuse towards others, killing, and even genocide to get what he wants and protect himself and his agenda, and seems to show little to no regret for it. He means it when he says nothing gets in his way.
Dreams: To take back his family's throne, to rule Gongmen City, and eventually all of China in a unbeatable, technologically advanced empire.
Fears: To be defeated by the Warrior of Black & White.
Extra:
-Shen is extremely skilled in martial arts and use of weapons. He fights gracefully and lethally with the use of many small sharp feather-shaped blades and a multi-purpose lance blade (curved blade on an extended shaft, can
be used as a sword or or pole-arm) which he keeps hidden underneath his robe and feathers. In addition, he has some very sharp metal talons attached to his feet. He is also highly talented in knowledge and creation of fireworks and explosives.
-He is in fact an Albino Peacock and not Leucistic one, notable by the red coloring in his eyes and feathers.
-Shen is taken from the canonpoint completely before the events of the second KFP film, so he has, until arriving in the City however, yet to discover Po is still alive...
-Also, if given the materials and means, he could probably construct a cannon(s) in the City, though it would likely take much longer and be much more difficult due to the lack of a factory or Wolf Servants to assist him.
