Atheism is fine, but why be condescending towards people who have faith in a god? A Buddhist might utterly loathe materialism, for instance, but still tolerate and embrace materialists. Acceptance, y'know? That kind of thing. You have some good points, though. Religion does cause many problems (the crusades, holy wars, the list goes on..) but I think "every problem there is" might be kind of strong. Drug addiction? You ever read some of Douglas Adams's essays on atheism? They're not bad, you might like them. You can probably find them with google. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me commenting.
