I  think I'm gonna try to start riding my bike around S-field some. i'm really trying to lose weight, 10lbs by the end of the summer, but I am having one hell of a time. I'm pumping as much dietary fiber into my system as possible and counting calories, but I have yet to lose any weight. I know I've cut my calories by at least halfish, and nothing ( Read more... )

Riding a bike is all well and good, but if you want to see some impressive results, you should try running. That's what I did, and it worked like a charm. :D If you're going to though, I might increase the calories just a little bit (like an extra 150 or so) and make sure you stay hydrated. Both while you're running and when you're not.

I've found that some of the fastest and most effective ways of losing weight are running and drinking lots and lots of water. I think the water helps you metabolize fats faster and more effectively.

I've been trying this summer, too, and it is really hard. I've been going to the gym four days a week, but that hasn't really done much. I think I'll have to try this running thing out. Maybe we can work out a gym schedule or something next semester. Jon was my gym partner but, tears, he will be in Spain for a semester.

also, let's work this South street thing out. I have to drive my laptop up to UC at some point, so I could pick up Thor and anyone else on campus that's interested in coming along.
