At first glance, I thought that said anti-vaccination. Glad it didn't.
Fox News had this subject on last week. The doctor that was on mentioned that very young children and the elderly are the most succeptible, or someone with an weakened immune system. I don't believe measles are given until about 1 or so.
I stress to my kids about washing their hands and covering their mouths when they cough or sneeze with their elbows.
At first I thought it said "Anti-vaccination, people" and clicked over and was like "uh... you need another 'anti'!" But now I see I just suck at reading. :)
Yeah, infectious disease wigs me out. Ari is getting vaccination for everything.
While Mia has been vaccinated according to the CDC schedule, I can understand the point of view that the schedule is too aggressive. So for that, I don't take issue with those who delay - only those who refuse to do it altogether.
I don't have any issues with people that refuse to do it because it's their choice. If you vaccinated Mia then you shouldn't have to worry about it.
I also vaccinated Audrey according to the CDC schedule and its so crazy. She was always so out of it, whiney, fevers, and also rashes a couple of times. I've never had any problems at all with Leah. Giving her just 1 or 2 at a time has made a huge difference. Read "The Vaccine Book" by Dr. Sears sometime. It gives you a really good look at the different vaccines and its not pro-vaccine or anti-vaccine. I really love it.
I'm afraid we'll have to agree-to-disagree on this topic. I think not vaccinating your children is an irresponsible decision that can have impacts on the community-at-large, not just your own child.
Mia had a fever from her vaccinations once when she was very young, and never since.
