Hamlet - (otherwise known as Dr Whomlet)

As some of you know, I'd been excited about seeing David Tennant in Hamlet for months and months. Well, last Friday was the night. It was only the second performance and was still in the members preview run. Great review! It sounds like it was a lovely time - I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

(The t-shirt thing made me laugh!)

Thank you SO MUCH for the well-written and thoughtful review for all of us out here in Seethingly Jealousland! This is probably about as close as I'll be able to get to the performance, but I can certainly enjoy a good squee-by-proxy. ooooh, feet and underpants...

No problem - I felt a duty to share my good fortune and at least make some effort at keeping the squee to a controllable level.
BTW, I love the phrase squee-by-proxy!

The fangirly thing is pretty much out in the open, but just being at Stratford made me want to respect the work, rather than just jumping up and down grinning (which is really what I wanted to do!).

I saw some of Taking Over The Asylum and remember David making an impression even then. I might have to purchase along with Casanova and Blackpool. ;)
