Gene meets a feminist group when a man is murdered and Chris uses the opportunity to impress Shaz with his knowledge of women's issues. You know where I'll be at 9pm (after we find out the winner of ( Read more... )

I'll be doing exactly the same as you this evening. I've been peculiarly addicted to Masterchef despite believing that it has been going on an awfully long time, all things considering. I'm of the opinion that James deserves to win.

I love Masterchef although I'm pretty sick of the *use aussie accent here* 'it'll change their life' intro every day. They drag out the final stages, it's true, but the contestants get to do some amazing things. I really liked Emily but she has fallen apart several times this week, so I agree that James deserves it. He's been consistently good, learned his lessons about simplicity and it obviously means a tremendous amount to him.

And then it's Gene-genie time!

I know; we're very lucky with television tonight, aren't we?

I know exactly what you mean about getting tired of the introduction. I feel myself going a little crazy every time I hear "Cooking doesn't get tougher than this". I'm also a little tired of the three finalists being introduced each episode - I know who they are by now! I do like Emily (I think she's showed that youth doesn't hold an enterprising cook back), but agree that James has been more consistent. He also seems like a genuinely nice bloke - I found his tears of pride yesterday rather sweet.
