In spite of the events of the previous evening, L slept well, and still seems to be on the mend. However, his temperature occasionally undergoes wild fluctuations, and his skin has not lost the very faint greenish tinge under its pallor.

He's resting in bed, waiting for Misa to return from the kitchen again and trying to focus on the text in

Watari stood outside the door and answered, "It's Watari."

A simple and short answer, but it was all Ryuzaki probably needed.

*He murmurs to himself,*

Watari,

*as he rolls out of bed, approaches the door, and unlocks it.*

*He looks very pleased when he opens the door.*

[When Watari sees Ryuzaki standing and conscious, a look of relief crosses his face. He didn't know what he would've done had there not been any response.]

Ryuzaki, I'm glad to see you're better. I'm sorry I could not check on you sooner.

[firm_detective]

Come in.

*He stands aside so that Watari can enter the room. There is a bed to the left of the door, its headboard on the same wall. He's been sleeping on the far side of it. There's a desk chair on wheels about five feet from his side of the bed, facing it; he gestures to this chair.*

Please sit down -- if you want to.

*He crawls back into bed, rolling over to the side he sleeps on.*

::Misa walks through the door with a tray from the kitchen. This time, instead of the usual fruits and soup there is a spread of different puddings as well as jello with fresh fruit inside. However, there is a small pot of soup once more, the lemon chicken and rice again, since L was able to eat it without making too many faces. Again, there are a few odds and ends as well. Once she closes the door, she sees that L has a guest and she smiles, genuinely happy to seen him::
Oh, hello Mr. Watari, it's good to see you. ::suddenly a thought hits her and she becomes worried:: Are you ill as well?

[firm_detective]

*It's as though his face has been wiped clean of concern and strategy; he greets her with a pleased, relieved expression*

You did not have any trouble carrying all that?
You must stop overexerting yourself.

I believe Watari is well.

[misamisal]

::she smiles at him and shakes her head:: Oh no, it wasn't too hard, but thank you.

::she sighs in relief:: Oh good. There's so many people ill around here, I was worried.

::she sets the tray down on the coffee table:: would either of you like anything? ::she poised over the tray, ready to fix up whatever they would like::

*He tries to smile back at her.*
