finally, managed to meet manly cutie joejunior and passed him his stuff... our code word was 'sausage' *grins*

i've given up hope on singapore hotels' buffet. Carousel @ RoyalPlazaOnScotts was no good. Oscar @ Conrad was no good. Tiffany @ FuramaCityCentre was no good. or isit my free meals at these places ( Read more... )

The Line is ok. I still like Triple 3 best. I had a chinese-style buffet at one of the hotels, and the prawns were so fresh, but I suspect the company was good.

Carousel is horrid. I find Ellenborough Market Cafe at Swissotel Merchant Court quite value for money. I hear The Line is good, but I haven't been there yet.

of cuz EMC @ merchant court was good... i haven't been there for ages. during CNY the price was incredibly-unbelievable... will wanna drop in some day.

I went to Carousel only once for weekend high tea.. The service was great.. i dont know, nothing abt the food seemed right. The fruit cocktail was disappointing, the sashim slimy, especially the dimsum -- such thick crust, skin, flour etc, unacceptable. if i want lousy dimsum i'd have it at my workplace's cafeteria. Our conclusion was that the taste at carousel perhaps caters to the Brunei palate?

duncha know that the 'dimsums' were all taken from some mass-produced factory, frozen and cheap! while i was still lunching that day, the cooks already started deepfrying the samosas and springrolls at 2pm... ready for the HI-tea.

slimy salmon is cuz of the cutting done too early, and even the storage method could attribute to what u had.

we tried The Square for lunch buffet as its rather near office - average and not for fussy people :P

i like this salad at oscar's where they toss the greens in this huge bowl carved out of cheese. :P also like the noodle bar, and the dessert.
