CF2010 in pictures
I'm going to go the lazy way and just make this a picspam, with witty captions (I promise!).
DAY 1: The big Shizuo roundup.
^ The dude on the right was so dedicated! He actually ordered the custom Shizuo (DRRR!!) sunglasses online for about RM100 and made the sign on the left out of a metal pole which he bent! D8 I like that he did Shizuo's leveled up version. :D
I gave him one of my fake ciggies to thank him for letting me borrow his 2nd sign to pose with. T^Tb

^ Shizuo number 3!!! He was an ikemen Shizuo. All my pics of him came out blurry. T^T He is too ikemen for my camera.
There was another Shizuo that I missed, making that 5 Shizuos all together! 8D
I'm so happy that there are guys cosplaying as well!
^ Fem!Izaya. She was the only Izaya I saw on day 1 and her jacket has such an accurate fur trim! :3
^ They are singing Uragiri no Yuuyake acoustically! I think the DRRR!! opening was played 3 times at CF. Once, by these guys, another by a girl singing onstage, then they played the actual track during a slow part of the con.
^ Hakuouki's Kazama. I secretly watch this anime and want to kill Chizuru...
^ raincloud_sama. I don't know who she is cosplaying. I think it's someone from Cardcaptor Sakura? I'm horrible with old school anime...
^ futomimii as Kuzunoha Raidou from P3. Sweet test-tube props and hat. I want a hat like that to wear to college. :3 I think I'm specializing in weird fashion by wearing suspenders and bow-ties and trillbys to college...
^ Katara, Avatar the Last Airbender. She was so sweet and she knew how to nail such an awesome pose.
^ Balthierrrrrrrr (FFXII) and Penelo (FFXII: Revenant Wings)! Their wigs were very awesome and natural. Look, a Prussia invaded the photo as well.
^ I literally squealed when I saw this guy as Altair (Assassin's Creed). I think he entered the cosplay competition, facing off against Yugi (Yu-Gi-Oh). Amazing craftsmanship and he actually got the hood looking right!
^ Colonial family! China, HK (_deru) and pirate UK (ithronluin), my dream cosplay. T^Tb
Happy Hetalia group. Not nearly as epic as last year, but I think ours had the most smiles! :))
^ Gar Spain and Prussia. Her Gilbird is a windup toy. :3
Prussia meets Shizuo and they get along famously. We took a picture at the My Horizon booth together. Kaoru-chan, you are so sugoiiiiiii and kakkoiiiiiiiii! ♥
^ One of the first few pics I took on day 1, Italy and Prussia. I ran into these guys at C2AGE the last time and it was nice to hang out and have fun again. :)
^ Arthur wants to change from O2 to Vodafone... :P
^ The great oil dispute: China vs America. Russia is just glad he is becoming one with them both.
^ They were singing Maru Kaite Chikyuu but it all degenerated into giggles.
^ Gilbird becomes kai keok in hungry HK's dimsum.
^ I wrote this in-character on _deru's customary CF scribble page.
I bought lots of badges (I counted 5) and 2 doujins, piratelicker's divine Hetalia fairytales (France ♥ ♥ ♥) and ultra_butterfly's hothothot El-Shaddai (the beach angels page OMG ♥ ♥ ♥) copybon. Lovely pretty arts and so much kuso. I love well-drawn kuso, because it becomes both a visual and mental treat. :)
Thanks so much to gunfair for your lovely DRRR!! badges, espcially for that out-of-print Dollars badge. I shall wear it on my schoolbag with pride. ♥
DAY 2: DRRR!! divine signs.
Today was crazy photoshoot day with dmjewelle as Izaya (DRRR!!), our photographer asliceoflove and her fab pink Pentax and some Keep Out tape courtesy of a passing cosplayer who offered it to us! You guys are so awesome.
^ I'm going to send this to my sis, because she's terrified of Cookie Monster (Sesame Street). >:D
^ Agni, Kuroshitsuji. Yay for obscure characters.
^ One of the few pics I have of Izaya with the hood up.
^ ??? and redcoat UK (Hetalia).
^ Claude and Alois (Kuroshitsuji II). Wow, super jailbaiting goin' on here... They posed like pros! D8
^ Epic Kuroshitsuji group. (The Lord Ash cosplayer is the same dude as Shizuo number 1. 8D)
I heard the committee was having problems awarding the prize for best group in hall (because most of the epic groups left early or were actually away from the hall doing photoshoots) and were resorting to last-man-standing...
I also noticed that CF's second day was woefully behind schedule. I stayed until 7 to find out who won the solo cosplay but it wasn't even announced when I left.
When dmjewelle had to leave early, I contemplated changing into my UK costume but I procrastinated because I can't bloody sit down in those pants. I took it as a sign that I should just remain as Shizuo when I kept running into DRRR!! cosplayers. There was even a Simon (AFSAKSHFASJLHGJK) that asliceoflove has pictures of.
^ Anri. There was a magnificent NYC backdrop papered onto one of the walls away from the main hall. The only spoiler was a giant chef popping out from the corner, but with some judicious angling, you could actually crop him out entirely. dmjewelle, asliceoflove and I called him Le Chef, our new maniacally-smiling friend.
^ Another Izaya. Or DRRR!! goes Stateside.
^ Just hangin' out in NYC...
^ I really like this Celty's helmet. It looks so solid and well-made; even the motif looked decoupaged-on. Her scythe was the same quality too! Her Shinra was awfully serious...
^ I was on a mission to camwhore with DRRR!! characters...
^ ???* and Daniimel as Spain (Hetalia).
*Please tell me if you have an LJ/DA because I can't find the post you made on the CF forum ages ago to identify you. T^T*
^ UK and US (Hetalia). I loved her UK wig. It looked so natural and yet beautifully styled.
^ Boba Fett! I love a good Star Wars cosplay. And I shall get my hands on a stormtrooper costume one day...

Next year I want to cosplay Sister (Arakawa). But I don't know how (short of sewing it myself or getting one from the Halloween shop) to get my hands on his outfit. OTL
It's just a dream really, because I don't know where I will end up next year. It was a bittersweet CF. :')
There is probably lots I forgot to report on, but I think I'll leave it to the rest of my f-list. Heading to Singapore tomorrow for 2 job interviews so I'll be back on Thursday night.
